Memorial Day: A Day for Remembering

"No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks." — James Allen

Today is Memorial Day - a day when people across the United States honor the fallen soldiers who gave their lives in order for their citizens and future generations to live prosperously and freely.

Many of my family have served this nation throughout its history – including participating in the birth of this great nation. They fought in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. I remember and thank them today.

I love living in the United States, and I am thankful for all those who have helped create and protect this nation.

"Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a difference in the world. A veteran does not have that problem." - Ronald Reagan
