If you are reading this, you have been blessed. You have things to be thankful for.
I have been blessed.
I have a wonderful family. My memories include five generations of people who have had a positive impact on my life – from my grandparents to my grandchildren. I have health. I have opportunities – to live, to love, to learn, to laugh. I live on this wonderful planet Earth – in a land of opportunity and freedom – in the beautiful state of Colorado. I have amazing friends and clients.
Benedictine Monk (and Gratitude expert) David Steindl-Rast declares, “The root of joy is gratefulness...It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
Look closely and you will find that people are happy because they are grateful. The opposite of gratefulness is just taking everything for granted.
