This month we are highlighting Housing Catalyst in Fort Collins, CO, a local housing authority dedicated to addressing the growing need for safe, affordable housing. Established in 1971, this dynamic organization boasts a rich history of commitment to providing affordable housing and nurturing strong local communities.

Housing Catalyst's mission, as articulated on their website, is "to create vibrant, sustainable communities throughout Northern Colorado." Their reach extends to a diverse range of individuals and families, from low-income households to seniors and people with disabilities. This mission isn't just a recent endeavor; it's a legacy spanning over five decades.

In pursuit of their mission, Housing Catalyst focuses on what they term their "triple bottom line:

  1. Maintaining the fiscal viability of the organization.

  2. Achieving a social goal by providing affordable housing and supportive services.

  3. Achieving environmental sustainability."

Over the years, Housing Catalyst has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community and has helped shape the Fort Collins' housing landscape. In 2022 alone, Housing Catalyst managed over 2,100 Northern Colorado homes, providing residents with affordable rents. They also hold the distinction of being the largest property manager in Northern Colorado, overseeing more than 1,600 local residences.

Through enduring partnerships and innovation, Housing Catalyst continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring that the residents of Fort Collins have access to affordable housing.
