Writing letters by hand is a skill and joy that's quickly being lost in our digital age. This July, I'm challenging myself and all of you to revive this wonderful tradition by joining me in the Handwritten Letter Challenge.

The rules are simple - write at least one handwritten letter every day in July and mail it to a friend, family member, or even a stranger. It can be a quick note, a longer letter catching up, or anything in between. The key is using pen and paper to connect with others more personally and thoughtfully.

Why take the Handwritten Letter Challenge? As this quote from the book The Art of the Handwritten Note by Margaret Shepherd reminds us:

"In an age of email and texting, the handwritten note startles and delights. It's personal and powerful in a way that electronic communication will never be."

Receiving a handwritten letter is a rare treat these days. It shows you've taken the time and care to express yourself meaningfully. The act of writing itself can be therapeutic, allowing you to slow down and be more reflective.

Need some inspiration? Check out the Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society website (https://thehandwrittenletterappreciationsociety.org/), which has wonderful letter-writing tips and resources. They even have a "31 Letters in 31 Days" challenge each July that you can join.

So dust off your favorite stationery or some nice paper, grab a pen, and get ready to make someone's day brighter with a handwritten note next month. I'll be sharing my letter-writing experiences throughout July using #HandwrittenLetterChallenge. Join me in keeping this simple but powerful tradition alive, and share your experiences with me!

I would love to hear from you. Send me your thoughts by clicking here.
