Five Ideas for Bringing More Joy into Your Life

Joy is a good thing. We could all use more of it in our lives.

Here are five simple ways that you can be more joyful every day.

Give them a shot.

#1 – Find the positive everywhere you can. Your level of joy is enhanced by the good that you can find – in everything and everyone you encounter. When you seek out the good, you attract more people and experiences to feel good about. People will enjoy being around you because you’ll make them feel good.

#2Live simply - do not buy things that you do not need. It turns out that clutter does not bring joy, but more free time and simplicity do.

#3 - Continue to grow. Learn something new every day that will make you a better person. There are many websites that will help you do this, including TED-Ed (https://ed.ted.com.)

TED-Ed is a great place for general learning and free online education.

#4. Chase your dreams. Do something every day that will move you closer to your goals and dreams. Make sure that you are going after your own dreams – not the ones that you have been told that you “should” be chasing.

#5 – Smile. Smiling brings on a good mood. The simple physical act of smiling stimulates pathways in your brain that impact your emotional state. By putting on a happy face, you can actually "trick" your mind into entering a state of happiness. A simple smile can lead to the release of neurotransmitters which can boost your mood.

Implementing some of these ideas will help your life be more joyful.
